CHURCH PROGRAMS
The vision of Arise Africa International is to plant churches of our Lord Jesus Christ and to help them grow and develop spiritually, numerically, geographically, and economically.

2002 -2003
The ministry focused on Crusades and Evangelism.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Arise Africa International in partnership with Mission Link International and Rick Via Ministries had very successful missions, resulting in the establishment of Buwenda and Budondo Baptist Churches.

The ministry provided for sustainability of the new Church plants in terms of Facilities Rent, Pastors Upkeep, and other Church needs worth over 4, 200,000 shillings.

2003 -2004
The ministry focused on developing National Church leadership to help administrate the 66 Churches registered with Arise Africa International in the districts of Busia, Kamuli, Bugiri, Iganga, Mayuge, Kaliro, Jinja and Mukono.

The Church was divided into ten zones. Each zone headed by a zonal leader:

By the end of the year the ministry was able to bring together all the ten zonal leaders in six very successful meetings in which church business was discussed. During local missions and crusades with visiting teams over two thousand people gave their lives to Christ, resulting in two church plants: Mayuge Baptist Church and Buwagajjo Baptist Church. The Ministry purchased land for Buwenda and Budondo Baptist Churches. The Ministry Invested funds in building temporal structures for Buwagajjo and Budondo Baptist Churches The Ministry bought a 60 passenger boat costing 2.5 million to strengthen the churches in the Islands.

Through evangelical missions Wakitaka Baptist Church was planted.

2004 – 2005
The ministry focused on developing zonal church leadership. The Churches experienced much growth this year.

ACHIEVEMENTS
The Church grew numerically from 66 Churches to 120 churches. This resulted in the formation of two more zones: Mubende in Mubende District and Buundo in Mukono district.
The ministry successfully held four national zonal leaders meetings.
The ministry was able to gather 186 pastors and their wives for a national Pastors / Wives conference at Bukaleba. The participants were taught how to take up their roles in the society as parents and as pastors, knowing that the communities were watching them.
The ministry introduced zonal leadership where zonal leaders were encouraged to gather all pastors in their zones for a church business meeting once a month and forward minutes to the national office during the national zonal leaders meeting.
The ministry spent over 10 million shillings to construct a permanent church for Buwenda Baptist Church and an adjacent primary school.

2005 -2006
Between 2005 -2006 the ministry focused on training and visitation.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Visitation.
Arise Africa was able to visit all the 120 churches, share the gospel, and have fellowship with the Church members and the Community.

The visits strengthened the relationship between Arise Africa and the churches. The zonal leaders were effective in their work.

The vision of Arise Africa was shared with the church at the grassroots.

Arise Africa had a chance to share in the needs of the Church and identified with the communities it ministers to, as well as assessed the work at the grassroots level.
Training

The ministry was able to train 365 Pastors and their wives in a national pastors /wives conference.

A representative from every zone was trained as a health worker and commissioned to go and train other health workers in their communities who will teach and begin public health programs in their communities.

Churches were trained on how to conduct an effective follow –up. This was very helpful in discipling those who were saved.

Arise Africa invested in sending four Pastors to theological schools.

Other Achievements
During local missions and missions with visiting teams, thousands of people gave their lives to Christ.

58 bicycles and two motorbikes were given to Pastors to help them in transportation.
Over 100 benches were donated to churches

2006 -2007
The ministry embarked on community and church development, prayer, national and zonal conferences and data collection.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Church development Projects
In the national and zonal leaders meetings, prayer retreats, conferences and zonal meetings the Church has been sensitized towards being self supportive.

With the help of the pastors and the zonal leaders the ministry has identified different projects for different communities.

Clean water programs
Two bore holes have been constructed in Kaliro (Nabigwali and Namayingo) providing clean water to thousands of residents around these communities.

Policies
The church policies have been revised in an effort to accommodate the immense church growth.

Prayer
National Prayer retreats
Zonal leaders met three times in 2006 for prayer and intersession for the church ministry, the nation, and the world.

During each of these prayers retreats, zonal leaders were ministered to with the word of God and commissioned to take the same into their zones.

Zonal Prayer retreats

Zonal leaders also gathered all Pastors in their zones for prayer and fasting meeting for their zones, Arise Africa, and the entire nation.

During this time the zonal leaders fed the pastors with the word of God and commissioned them to do the same in their Churches.

The Pastors gathered their church elders three times in 2006 for prayer and fasting for their Church, communities, Zone, Arise Africa, and the entire nation.

During this time the Pastors fed the elders with the word of God and commissioned them to take prayers to their church groups.

Church members prayer retreats

The entire church gathered together three times in 2006 for prayer and fasting for their families, Church, communities, Zone, Arise Africa, and the entire nation.

The church is commissioned to take prayer to their individual homes.

National and Zonal Conferences

Sixteen million shillings (16 million) was invested on training 198 pastors with their wives about their roles as ministers and servants in a pastors / wives conference.

Arise Africa has invested 6 million shillings to host zonal conferences in each of the 21 zones under Arise Africa International; reminding the church about the gospel of Christ; the gospel that saved us.

Data
The ministry was able to update the Church data. Currently, we have 198 churches in 21 zones covering 19 districts of Uganda namely: Busia, Bugiri, Iganga, Mayuge, Mbale, Pallisa, Kiboga, Masindi, Nakasongola, Arua, Mubende, Jinja, Mukono, Manafwa, Mityana, Kamuli, Kaliro, and Butaleja. Other churches from other districts and neighboring countries such as Rwanda, Sudan, and Kenya have requested for membership and are under probation.

In summary

Thousands of people have heard the gospel of Christ and are growing.

Arise Africa is providing a monthly upkeep to 21 pastors from 19 districts of Uganda.

Three Pastors who had no homes now have homes from funds raised through Arise Africa.

Arise Africa has had an opportunity to visit each of the Churches; ministering and fellowshipping with churches and their communities.

Since 2005 Arise Africa has successfully hosted all Pastors /Wives conferences; the most recent in 2007 with 198 churches represented, providing for their transportation, meals, and accommodation costing over 10 million shillings yearly.

Since 2003 Arise Africa has been able to hold national zonal leaders meetings to discuss church business at least three times a year, providing for transport, meals and accommodation to the zonal leaders amounting to an average of 600,000= per meeting.

Since 2003 Arise Africa has been able to gather an average of 80 volunteer pastors, church elders, and church members from 18 districts where Arise Africa operates for a prayer and fasting retreat three times a year at Arise Africa Bukaleba Land. This continued until 2007, when the zonal leaders were commissioned to meet in their respective zones for prayer and fasting. A time table was created and once a month all churches under Arise Africa prays and fast for specific things. Arise Africa has participated in community development through construction of churches, schools, latrines, boreholes, and pastor’s homes.

CHALLENGES
To reach the remaining 68 districts of Uganda and other countries with Arise Africa programs.

To see every church within Arise Africa become self-supportive, self-theologizing, and self-propagating.

To alleviate poverty in all of the communities in which Arise Africa operates.

Arise Africa International will continue to empower the Church Spiritually, Physically, Socially, Geographically, and Economically to effectively witness for our Lord Jesus Christ until His eminent return.
